The plugin provides two methods to customize cluster styles: “Colored Clusters” and “Image Clusters”. Below is an explanation of each method along with detailed steps to activate your preferred option.
1. Colored clusters
Colored clusters will maintain consistent size but showcase varying colors. Each cluster’s color is determined by the number of markers it contains. Clusters with lower marker density will be closer in color to the primary shade, while those with higher density will lean towards the third color. Clusters with moderate marker density will adopt a hue between the primary and third colors. Adding more stops/steps increases the density of colors between the primary and third hues.
- Edit a map
- Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
- Click on the menu “Marker clustering settings”.
- Activate the colored cluster style by selecting “Colored Clusters” in the “Clusters Style” field.
- Generate your custom clusters color scheme:
- Open the widget [“Colored Clusters” customization]
- Click on “Clusters Color Scheme” to access the group settings fields
- To proceed, choose the primary color, secondary color, and third color. Then, specify the number of steps to interpolate between the selected colors.
- Select the primary color in the “Primary Color” field. This color represents clusters with the lowest marker density. Please note that specifying the primary color is mandatory.
- Select the secondary color using the “Secondary Color” field. This color represents clusters with a moderate marker density. Please note that setting a secondary color is optional.
- Select the third color using the “Third Color” field. This color represents clusters with a high marker density. Please note that specifying the third color is mandatory.
- In the “Number of Stops/Steps” field, specify the number of steps to determine how many colors will be included between the Primary and Third colors. Adding more steps can create greater color diversity for clusters as the number of markers on your map increases. The maximum number of steps allowed is 255.
- Use the “Colored Clusters Size” field to set the size of the colored clusters in pixels (both width and height). All colored clusters will share the same size.
- Open the widget [“Colored Clusters” customization]
2. Image clusters
Image clusters provide flexibility in both size and appearance, allowing for custom images or shapes. Each cluster’s size adapts dynamically based on the number of markers within it. Smaller cluster images indicate lower marker density, while larger cluster images denote higher density. Medium-sized cluster images represent moderate marker density.
- Edit a map
- Open the widget “Progress Map Settings”.
- Click on the menu “Marker clustering settings”.
- Activate the image cluster style by selecting “Image Clusters” in the “Clusters Style” field.
- Change the cluster images:
- Open the widget [“Image Clusters” customization]
- To edit the small cluster image, upload your custom image in the field “Small cluster image”. You can adjust the cluster dimensions by modifying the “Small Cluster Image Height” and “Small Cluster Image Width” fields.
- To edit the medium cluster image, upload your custom image in the field “Medium cluster image”. You can adjust the cluster dimensions by modifying the “Medium Cluster Image Height” and “Medium Cluster Image Width” fields.
- To edit the large cluster image, upload your custom image in the field “Large cluster image”. You can adjust the cluster dimensions by modifying the “Large Cluster Image Height” and “Large Cluster Image Width” fields.
